Sustainability

Titanium Park’s community ecosystem sets a new standard for progressive and sustainable workplace design and construction. It creates a space where people and businesses thrive, and where kaitiakitanga protects our environment (taiao) for future generations.

HOW? By ensuring all our business and strategic property decisions have our environment and our future at the forefront.

We also achieve this by reducing:
Waste | Energy | Fuel consumption | Water use | Greenhouse gas

Ecological mitigation

A “bat management plan” has been developed which involves planting approximately 75,000 trees of 40 different species on 15 hectares of land.  This land will be dedicated to giving the Waikato’s long-tailed bat, the Pekapeka, a home in Titanium Park.

Precinct North’s Tukutuku pattern is named Pekapeka. The Pekapeka long-tailed bat is mostly found in this area.

The green highlighted regions to the North show where the protected bat habitats reside.

Tiaki in Kirikiriroa

Situated at Hamilton Kirikiriroa Airport, Titanium Park is a thoughtfully designed and strategically located commercial industrial business park in the heart of the Waikato, the country’s largest export region.

The Tiaki Promise is a commitment to care for New Zealand, for now and for future generations and invites those who live here as well as travellers to honour and protect New Zealand’s natural and cultural treasures. For Kirikiriroa Hamilton tourism and hospitality businesses, caring for people, place and culture is at the forefront of everything they do with many already making standout contributions to the environment and community and sharing stories of our special place.

“Hamilton Airport is a gateway for manuhiri (visitors) coming to our city and region and it’s important to us they receive a uniquely Waikato welcome, rich in storytelling about our part of Aotearoa,”
