Sustainability
HOW? By ensuring all our business and strategic property decisions have our environment and our future at the forefront.
We also achieve this by reducing:
Waste | Energy | Fuel consumption | Water use | Greenhouse gas
Ecological mitigation
A “bat management plan” has been developed which involves planting approximately 75,000 trees of 40 different species on 15 hectares of land. This land will be dedicated to giving the Waikato’s long-tailed bat, the Pekapeka, a home in Titanium Park.
Precinct North’s Tukutuku pattern is named Pekapeka. The Pekapeka long-tailed bat is mostly found in this area.
The green highlighted regions to the North show where the protected bat habitats reside.
